I think I've been hijacked and I need help! I would appreciate and ideas or solutions to the following problem:
I cannot get to Facebook. Every time I type the address into Internet Explorer, I get redirected to Hotmail. Sometimes this redirection has occurred when I try to go to sites other than Facebook, but most of the time it happens as soon as I try to go to Facebook.
Todd installed some sort of spyware program, but it hasn't helped. He only downloaded the free version, though...maybe we should pay for it?? We really don't know what is going on or how to fix it, but it's driving me crazy!
Please, if you have any ideas, leave a comment on my blog. All my blog entries are imported to Facebook, but if you comment on Facebook, I will not be able to see your suggestions. You must go directly to my blog (http://www.thetarbar3.blogspot.com) and leave a comment there.

ReplyDelete1.)clear your history, cookies and temporary internet files - do this in internet explorer (tools, internet options, delete under browsing history, check temporary internet files, cookies and history and delete.)
2.) free versions of spyware are not necessarily bad - 'Superantispyware' and Malwarebytes have been recommended by my computer savvy friends.
3.) if you are using Internet Expolorer you might want to consider trying 'Firefox' instead - catches more spam, freezes less.

I agree with using Firefox it has worked much better for me on my laptop and has built in protection. Do u have a virus scanner? I would try to download a virus/spyware scanner together and they may be able to pick something up that is affecting/effecting (I still don't know which one to use haha)the internet- Dara
ReplyDeleteI agree with Patty and Dara, I use Firefox. Also agree with clearing your cookies, history and temporary files.
ReplyDeleteAnother thing, could be the problem is with facebook and not your computer. One time I couldn't get on for days. Facebook tends to have a lot of glitches.
