Getting Ready for T-ball!

Reagan and I went to the store today and got some T-ball stuff!  Reagan is super excited to have her own bat and helmet and spikes!  She's even more excited to play T-ball on a team for the very first time starting in late June! Since she got these spikes she has worn no other shoes but them!  She's adorable!

PALS Carnival!

There hasn't been much posting about the PALS program with Reagan this year, and it's likely because I was President and super busy planning and implementing the program, but Reagan and I did manage to get one photo together during the last session of PALS and here it is:
We've had a lot of fun in PALS this year, and we are sad to see it come to an end.  First attending PALS with Jocelyn, and continuing with Reagan, we have been a PALS family for 5 years!  This is both mine and Reagan's last year.  Next year Reagan will be in school on PALS Wednesdays, so we had to say good-bye.  I loved planning a great program for my Reagan and our last year of PALS.  It's bitter-sweet saying good-bye.  It was a lot of work and I'm looking forward to not worrying about e-mails, planning, and field trips, but I have met a lot of great people and made a lot of friends through this program (as have the girls), and I'm sad to say good-bye to this chapter of our life that has really made us feel like a part of the Brentwood community.  Lasting friendships have been made, however, so it's not really good-bye to all of the people!  It has been fun!

Reagan's 3-year-old Preschool Graduation

Today Reagan graduated from 3-year-old Preschool!  First, I couldn't believe that my "baby" was even going to Preschool...now I can't believe she is finished with her first year!  She has grown so much in the last year.  We have watched her really blossom at Good Shepherd.  She has made lots of new friends and learned so much.  She is a popular kid and a joy to have in the classroom, so we hear from her teacher!
We are so proud of you Reagan Olivia!  Congratulations!

Butterfly Head

Reagan had a butterfly land right on her head at her school picnic day at Good Shepherd today!  She raised butterflies in her classroom and her teacher released them today...I guess this one was particularly attached to Reagan and didn't' want to say goodbye!

A Weekend of Festivals

The end of summer is near, and summer fun is coming to an end.  This weekend we went to two fairs.  The first was the St. Sylvester fair, which we have been attending every year for a few years now.  Jocelyn danced at the fair for her dance school.  It had been a long break from practicing her steps, but she did a great job!

Then we attended Whitehall Community Day, which was also a lot of fun.  The hit of this fair was that the girls brought their stuffed animals and got to have them checked out by characters from one of their favorite shows, Doc McStuffins!

College Reunion

Dara was in town and we took the opportunity to get together with the entire college clan!  I can't believe college was 10 years ago! It was a fun night and so nice to see each other!

Irrationality at 5-years-old

I feel kind of guilty that I took a picture of Jocelyn during a tantrum, but this little face is just too cute to forget.

One day at the park, Jocelyn became very upset that a little boy had joined in on a game of hide-and-seek she was playing with Reagan and another friend.  She came to me crying because she didn't want the little boy to play with them.  Why?  Because it would mean that she would have to wait longer for a turn to be the seeker.  There was no helping her this day!

Dewey Beach 2013

What an awesome vacation we had this year in Dewey Beach, DE!  The girls are at a great age to travel with.  This was definitely our best year since having the girls as a part of our family!  Both girls enjoyed the sand and water...Jocelyn more so the sand than water.
